Footprints
I walk along on sandy shores under a deep blue velvet sky
One set of footprints do I leave behind and the question I ask is why?
My heart is true and within it there is so much love to give
But it lingers there, lies undisturbed, no one to share it with
My night is dark, and it seems to me, so also is my day
No hope I see in days to come, to drive this gloom away
Or so I thought when fate decides to change the solemn view
And sent to me from heaven a vision fresh as morning dew
This vision is an Angel and my hopes they live anew
My heart beats once and all because the angel here is you
And now I hold a dream thats new, A dream I hold your hand
And we will walk together, two sets of footprints in the sand
